We’re thrilled to report that the Danforth, a Seattle apartment tower by Columbia Pacific Advisors, was recently included in Building Design + Construction’s recent list of “5 noteworthy multifamily developments.”
The Danforth is a 16-story, 265-unit apartment tower with a ground-floor Whole Foods at the junction of Seattle’s First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods, as well as bordering Seattle University. Red Propeller was involved with the project from early planning through lease-up.
In including the Danforth in its list of noteworthy developments, Building Design + Construction wrote: “Columbia Pacific Advisors’ project team for The Danforth, a 16-story tower in Seattle, had barely 22,000 sf of site in which to squeeze in 265 apartments, a 53,000-sf Whole Foods grocery, and five levels of below-grade parking.”
It’s not just about the innovative use of a compact site. The Danforth is a truly distinctive project with great branding and execution, and its remarkable success in the marketplace underlines this. The recognition is well deserved.
The Danforth is just a few blocks from our office, and if you look around Whole Foods, you’ll probably see a Propellerhead browsing the salad bar!
