Michelle Sherman

Daydream Believer

Position: Marketing Director

Preferred Propellant: Tito’s and soda, two limes. Never just one.

Preferred Inanimate Red Object: Red Chuck Taylors

Michelle focuses on apartment clients throughout the United States. Her approach to marketing is direct, thoughtful, and punctuated with exclamation points! She loves nothing more than hitting deadlines, fulfilling client dreams, and producing experiences that create memories. She’s launched 30+ lease-up campaigns in multiple markets, including Mexico, she’s won some awards, and she’s birthed some marketing campaigns that she’d call “magical.”

A reformed East Coaster, Michelle hails from the beautiful state of Maryland, where crab cakes and football remain king. Looking for a change, Michelle fell in love with New Orleans and attended Tulane University, where she studied communications, psychology and sociology. She somehow managed to graduate and then made her way back to the D.C. area to start a career in communications at the National Apartment Association. Michelle spent nearly six years at the NAA, carrying out member services, online communications and event marketing, including taking charge of the association’s entire 75th anniversary brand and event series. Some could say that she brought social media to NAA by telling them about Facebook – back when you needed a college email address to log on. Michelle also supported a number of educational conferences and lobbying communications strategy for the multifamily housing industry.

In 2014, Michelle decided to move West for a change of scenery. She quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and, before she knew it, was hiking for fun. While not hiking, she worked for two years at Greystar, where she nimbly managed the marketing strategy, execution and brand of more than 55 properties in the Portland and Seattle areas. She joined Red Propeller in 2017.

In her spare time, Michelle tells her dog how much she loves her and travels to obscure parts of the world. She strives to visit three new countries a year. Next up, Morocco.
